The Text element is used to display text from a separate file.

Formatting options

Text can be in RTF or HTML 2.0 format. The following formatting options are supported:

• Font size
• Color
• Style (bold, italic, underline, superscript, subscript, hidden/invisible)
• Character and line kerning
• Paragraph indents, tabs and alignment
• Pictures

If you are not comfortable using basic HTML tags, there are several resources available online. See Wikipedia:HTML Element for more information.

The following is an example html page formatted for iShell's text element. We'll be using the Steelfish font, available via Dynamic Font Loading.

This html file, when displayed as a Text element in iShell, will look like this:

Hot text

Hot text is text which triggers an event in iShell. For info on how to format hot text, see the Hot Text article.
