tribalmedia purchases ImageLayer from Sky4Studio,
and releases ImageLayer 2 for Mac and Windows
October 30th, 2007
ImageLayer is the ultimate Photoshop tool for iShell users. ImageLayer allows a developer to use the native layers, transparencies, and groups of a Photoshop file to create beautifully designed applications. Button behaviors are automatically created. Photoshop transparency becomes the alpha channel and mask region of the image. Each Photoshop layer becomes an independent element within iShell.
ImageLayer2 brings support to the latest Intel Macs, support for Photoshop CS2 and CS3 files, and many improvements and fixes. tribalmedia will continue to support and sell ImageLayer current and future ImageLayer customers.
Brian McMurray, Vice President of Opus Communications, had the following to say about ImageLayer 2, "ImageLayer continues to be the most immensely time saving plug-in that I've ever used with iShell. Our stuff is always heavy in graphic design and interactivity and ImageLayer saves us 50% of the time it would normally take us in development - seriously." Opus Communications creates ready-to-use Premium Training, Custom Training, and testing and certification solutions to address the unique needs of a business.
This new acquisition will allow tribalmedia to bring interactivity to an artist's photoshop creations with easy to use tools. In the future, Photoshop will play a key role in the work flow of tribalmedia's application and tool suites.
Current ImageLayer customers can take advantage of a special offer to upgrade to version 2 for $149, normally $199. New customers will be able to purchase a version of ImageLayer 2 for $199, normally $299. These special offers are available until November 30th.
